Hello everyone!

With great pride and pleasure I present my first assignment for the K-pop Academy.

This week was entirely dedicated to Korean history and the assignment was to watch a Korean drama / movie and make a review/creative content.

I decided to watch the movie 'The King and the Clown ". At first glance the titleI I really didn't get hooked by the title. If I'm really honest I thought it sounded kind of lame, but because I had heard that this movie was very well attended in Korea, I decided to give it a chance anyhow. A good decision!

The Movie:

"The King and the Clown 'is a film with an artistic edge to it. It is not your standard movie where a boy meets and a girl, they date, they get together, they break-up, they get back together again, happy end. No, this film offers more than that.

The out of the ordinary storyline and the slightly confusing dialogues makes rememberable and therefore a must for people who are into Korean culture (and not averse to a slight hint of homosexuality).

Creative content:

As I tried to think of a creative construe this movie, I suddenly remembered two particular episodes of SHINee's Hello Baby.

I recalled that in one of the episodes the SHINee members made their own version of the Korean tale 'The Good Brother's Reward'.

In another episode the members were all dressed in an animal costume at a playground for children, and the narrator described what they were doing while they were playing as if it was a fairy tale. And I believe that in this same episode the members also got a diary and wrote/draw something in it for 'their' child Yoogeun.

For the creative content assignment I decided to mix these two ideas and make my own children's book based upon 'The King and the Clown'.

So, without further ado, here it is.

Enjoy! ^^

Ps. Sorry for the low quality.
I have had a lot of trouble uploading the file, because it's so big. T~T
